In time she would become an established stage actress, starring in acclaimed productions like Jamie the Saxt, before subsequently moving across to film. Originally having planned to follow a career in Bio-Chemistry, it wasn’t long before her fascination with the performing arts took centre stage. Recent highlights include Hit Girls, a new short film Gillian wrote and starred in, appearing with Rosie Fellner (Boogie Woogie) and Joey Ansah (The Bourne Ultimatum), A Lonely Place To Die, from BAFTA nominated director Julian Gilbey (Rise of the Footsoldier), the multi Award-Winning short film, Father's Day, opposite Kevin R. McNally (Pirates of the Caribbean) and critically acclaimed stage production, Burlexe.

09 February 2012: It has been announced that "The Urge" will screen as part of the Official Selection at the Green Bay Film Festival, 23rd-25th March 2012 in Wisconsin, USA. Watch the trailer here.

01 February 2012: Gillian's latest project has just been announced in Screen Daily. "Confine" will star Daisy Lowe, Alfie Allen and Eliza Bennett. Tobias Tobbell has written the script and will direct the film about a former model (Lowe) who has become agrophobic and is held hostage by a sociopath who embroils her boyfriend into the plan. 27 January 2012: The Urge, the new short film starring Gillian MacGregor has won Best in Category and Best Screenplay awards at the Mountain Film Festival in California. You can watch the trailer here!
